Busy Times

What a crazy couple of weeks!  Holiday jewelry orders are coming fast and furious. Not complaining – not me! If you’re thinking of the upcoming party and gifting season, think about jewelry.  There is still time. If you don’t see it on my Etsy site, send me an email – I’ll turn your ideas into a beautiful jewelry creation.

And, more good news, my photography biz is picking up.  Hooray for that!

This past weekend I got to work with a fantastic organization called “Flashes of Hope”. This non-profit creates uplifting portraits of children fighting cancer and raises money for pediatric cancer research. Last year they photographed over 5000 children across America.  The photos change the way children see themselves and preserve forever the bravery, grace and dignity of each child.

Saturday was a special Survivor lunch at the St Louis Children’s Hospital. Together with other photographers from Studio 31Four, I met some of the most courageous, outgoing, loving, happy children I’ve ever had the pleasure to meet!

This was a truly emotional time for me. Usually, I’m capturing emotion, not experiencing it as I did during this very special day.  If you ever get the opportunity to give your time, talent or money to this organization, do it. You’ll be hooked!

In the next few days, I’ll be uploading a few of the images on my Facebook photography page Brown Eyed Visions
